Homeowners coverage

  • Is your dwelling limit enough to rebuild today?
  • Do you have replacement cost or actual cash value?
  • Are your personal belongings covered adequately?

Windstorm and flood

Flood and windstorm coverage may be separate from a standard homeowners policy. Availability depends on the carrier and your property's eligibility.

  • Is wind/hail included, or does it require separate coverage?
  • Do you have flood coverage? Standard homeowners policies typically exclude flood.
  • Are there waiting periods before new flood coverage begins?

Deductibles

  • Your standard deductible
  • Any separate hurricane or wind/hail deductible (often a percentage of dwelling value)

Property updates

  • New roof, renovations, or additions to report
  • Photos or video inventory of your home and belongings
